Mapping Conflict in the Body [10 Pax]
venue: gallery
date: Sun, 27 April
time: 10am-12pm
This workshop leads participants to explore how conflict lands in their bodies through a somatic mapping exercise, and to expand their understanding of emotional activation as a pathway towards intimacy and relationship repair. It draws upon frameworks from trauma-informed relational somatics, internal family systems, and embodied nonviolent communication to guide participants in understanding themselves amidst tension, and begin building the capacity to move forward in a way that takes all parts of themselves into account, such that conflict becomes generative rather than destructive.
Due to limited capacity of 10 pax, you are encouraged to reserve your spot via a separate form at the link in bio!
MEET YOUR HOST!

Xiao Ting (all pronouns)
Xiao Ting plays with ‘words’ and its related resonances, ‘art’ and its transubstantiation. They work in intimate (and sometimes invisible) spaces to sprout worlds that are more joyous, habitable, and honest. Their current practice tends to art and its relatives through writing alongside, sharing attention, and being with. This materialises as arts writing, workshop facilitation, and one-on-one therapy sessions. They are committed to CITRUS practices, a working group of arts practitioners exploring ways to build towards better practices around care and intimacy in artmaking. She also works as a counsellor and somatic practitioner.
