Care for Oneself, Care for the World
venue: gallery
date: Fri, 25 April
time: 7:30pm-9:00pm
“Care for Oneself, Care for the World” is a 90-minute session designed to nurture self-care and compassionate action through mindfulness practices. Inspired by Thich Nhat Hanh’s wisdom—“Meditation is to get insight, to get understanding and compassion, and when you have them, you are compelled to act”—this gathering invites participants to deepen their awareness and translate care into meaningful action. A guided sitting practice, Caring Action Questions, and a self-reflection exercise are used to cultivate mindfulness and inner stillness. The practice concludes with a sharing circle, fostering open dialogue and mutual respect. This session is an opportunity to cultivate inner peace while exploring how personal mindfulness can ripple outward in service to the world. We hope participants will leave with a deeper connection to themselves and a renewed commitment to compassionate action.
